He llevado a mi hija mayor a este colegio y no puedo estar más contenta, tanto por el trato humano de todos los profesores y trabajadores, como del resto de los alumnos. Actualmente está en el instituto, y su primer año ha sido brillante, gracias entre otras cosas a la formación que recibió en el Gandhi. Ahora también va mi hija pequeña, que pasará a 1º de Primaria este año. Obviamente, si no estuviera satisfecha con el cole, no habría apuntado también a mi segunda hija. Es un cole muy familiar, todos se conocen, y eso es un punto muy positivo. El comedor funciona divinamente, con un equipo de monitores que se dejan la piel con los alumnos y que no paran de idear actividades para que l@s alumn@s disfruten de ese rato también. Las instalaciones también han mejorado mucho. Actualmente hay un rocódromo en el patio de infantil y muchos juegos en el suelo, también en el patio de mayores. En definitiva, me parece un cole estupendo y una de las mejores opciones, sino la mejor, del barrio.

my daughter had only gone to one school before she HAD to attend Gandhi .
we live pretty far from Villaviciosa de Odon, about 50km , it takes us about almost an hour to get to Villaviciosa de Odon from our town. (no we will not move closer to Madrid its more crazy and less tranquil)
so honestly most days we do show up late to drop her off but she gets to school , just 5-30 minutes late it varies sometimes.
at first they started to give us a hard time because she was late a lot or missing school which is understandable. then there's the issue of our daughter hitting other students. between infantil 5 anos to 1st grade she was hitting kids it didn't get as bad until 1st grade. what else got worse ? her grades. she did great in the other school , did ok when she first got here, then got worse by the semester . we've spoken to the teachers and the staff at the school . what happened? why did she hit other students? why are her grades worsening ? how has she not learned how to read, write, or even tell the time ????? we know she is smart as hell. we also know she is a troublemaker at time. but it doesn't make any sense whatsoever that she ONLY acts up at school. when we have play dates she is fine . we go to the park , she's fine. never any hitting . we spoke with her daily almost hourly about rights and wrongs and how to treat everyone kindly and equally. when we ask for context from the school when situations would arise they would lift their shoulders, drop them, then say I don't know we have too many kids to look after to notice. great excuse, I understand having a lot of kids is a lot for one person to handle but maybe instead of investing all this donated money you ask from parents used to purchase phones and iPads, get better staff who actually love kids EQUALLY and treat them nicely. I could go on all day about how this school has very slickly treated us . up to the annual school photo where COINCIDENTALLY all the ethnic coloured students happen to be in the middle while all the other lighter coloured students are all around looking like an ad for fake diversity . they claim to be a bilingual school but good luck finding ANYONE there that actually speaks English. we're from the United States my husbands Mexican and I'm asian he speaks better Spanish than me and I'm still learning so it was difficult to ever communicate with this "bilingual" school. if my child showed up to school with a LITTLE stain, they would say she was completely dirty . we own an auto body and repair shop in Villaviciosa de Odon and she plays there after school and falls like children do and gets a little dirty and when its a STAIN they don't come off. we've had meetings with them about the wellbeing and schoolwork of our daughter and they had the audacity to ask us about our legal situation in Spain as if that's relevant AT ALL. they will speak and ask your child things they shouldn't be. like "wow you're actually Clean today !" , "tell your parent they need to -----" , "why were you late today ?" "you don't have to wear your mask anymore " and more . if you want your Childs spirit to be broken meanwhile not learning a damn thing at all , bring them here. horrible . there's so much more I can say but ill leave it here. mamen in infantil was the ONLY GOOD AND UNDERSTANDING TEACHER WILLING TO TRY AND HELP OUR DAUGHTER AND ACCOMMODATE HER AND OUR SITUATION. En primer lugar siento tu mala experiencia en el colegio, pero por favor, prestad atención a los sitios donde dejáis comentarios y fijaros bien en todos los detalles. Este es un espacio donde padres y madres que tienen dudas pueden consultar sobre posibles centros educativos donde llevar a sus hijos, y la información errónea puede acarrear muchos malentendidos. El cole del que hablas en tu comentario el el colegio GANDHI DE VILLACICIOSA DE ODÓN, nada que ver con el colegio GANDHI DE CIUDAD LINEAL, que es el que aparece al inicio de esta página. Comentarios erróneos o fuera de lugar pueden hacer mucho daño tanto al centro como a todo el equipo de profesionales que en él trabajan. Por eso, una vez más, insisto en que antes de hacer cualquier tipo de comentario o verter cualquier opinión, nos aseguremos de que estamos en el lugar correcto para hacerlo.

Hoy mi hija acaba una etapa en este maravilloso cole. Han sido 9 años estupendos, y muy felices. En su día elegí este cole por instinto, por una corazonada, y nunca me he arrepentido. Es un cole pequeño y familiar, todos se conocen, y eso es un plus. El profesorado es estupendo y se implican mucho en todo. Todavía tengo a mi hija pequeña allí. Sin duda es la mejor elección que pude haber hecho. Aupa Gandhi!

Ninguna de mis hijas tiene necesidades especiales, así que no puedo hablarte desde mi propia experiencia, aunque sí puedo decirte que las dos han convivido (la mayor ya no está) y conviven con alumn@s de necesidades educativas especiales, asociadas a Trastornos del Espectro Autista (TEA) en sus clases, y bajo mi punto de vista, están perfectamente integrados con el resto de sus compañer@s, como debe ser. Es uno de los aspectos que me gustaron de este colegio, cómo se quieren, cómo se ayudan y se apoyan unos y otros. En cuanto al equipo profesional, me consta que son estupendos y que se dejan la piel. No obstante, lo mejor es que visites el colegio y lo compruebes por ti misma. Así podrás hacerte una mejor idea.
