Welcome to The American School of Madrid, a private, non-profit, co-educational organization. Founded in 1961, ASM provides an English language-based, American college-preparatory education to serve the needs of the American and international communities in Madrid.

At ASM we share your desire for quality in college-preparatory education and we provide our students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will enable them to become critical and concerned members of a changing society. ASM educates students from approximately 50 countries who are native speakers of more than 20 languages. The School's international student body reflects the conviction that modern society is enriched by bringing together children of many different nationalities and cultures.

We prepare students to successfully live and work in the 21st century and to become World Citizens with global outlook created by an international and multi-cultural student body.  We deliver an education that stresses initiative, creativity, and decision-making with a challenging and diversified academic program taught by a dedicated, caring, and highly-qualified faculty.  We have an outstanding record of placing graduates in excellent American, Spanish, and international universities throughout the world.
